The steps of a righteous man are ordered of God. In June 1986, Minister Earl O. Crump was called and asked to accept the position of Pastorship of the New Greaterway Missionary Baptist Church. The church was located at 25 Martin Luther King Blvd. in Pontiac, MI.  Rev. Jacob Washington was Pastor at that time. A meeting was called and three of the five members were present. After much prayer and seeking the Lord, Minister Earl O. Crump accepted the Office as Pastor.

The Lord began to add to the church as He saw fit and in July 1986, Pastor Crump began setting the Church in order. Deacons were appointed, Officers were elected the Choir and Usher's Ministry was established.

With much anticipation, the Installation Service was in November 1986 and Pastor Amos Johnson of New Bethel Baptist Church, installed Minister Earl Crump as Pastor of the New Greaterway Missionary Baptist Church. The church grew to 120 plus members: Pastor Crump and the New Greaterway Missionary Baptist Church were there for 5 years at Martin Luther King Blvd and Lookout Street.

The Vision became clearer, as to what God wanted Pastor Crump to do and that was to take the church to another level.  On May 7, 1991, New Greaterway Missionary Baptist Church purchased the Temple Beth Jacob Synagogue; located at 79 Elizabeth Lake Rd., Pontiac, MI.  Little did Pastor know, this was only for a short season from July 1991 to September 1999 (8 years).

The Church located at 25 Martin Luther King Blvd. was then sold in June of 1991.

The Lord began speaking to Pastor Crump about a name change and in March of 1992, New Greaterway Missionary Baptist Church became New Greaterway Christian Church.

The God we serve is so awesome because He continued to Bless New Greaterway.   In December of 1995, the Mortgage for 79 Elizabeth Lake Rd. was paid in full. The Lord let us know that we must continue to walk by Faith.

The Church is growing in leaps and bounds!  God is truly proving that He Favors Pastor Crump and the New Greaterway Christian Church. The church family began to come in with Expectations, a Hunger and Desire to hear a Word from God. The Spirit of the Lord is always moving; as the Word is being taught, the sick are recovering and being healed, chains are being broken and captives are set free.

Because Pastor teaches, “Take the Limits off God”, we continue to go to ANOTHER LEVEL. In June 1997 God showed up and showed out again!  God blessed New Greaterway Christian Church to purchased a City Block for the New location, school and recreational facility. New Greaterway Christian Church is now located at 511 South Sanford Street, Pontiac, MI.  As of January 1, 2004, New Greaterway Christian Church is changed to the DOOR OF FAITH Christian Church. To God be the Glory for the things He has done and continue to do for us.

There are two Sunday Services, 9am and 11am. Tuesday Bible Study at 6pm., Thursday Bible Study at 6pm.  Our Men, Women, Youth, Single and Married Fellowships will be announced prior to events.

Our Mission is to transform a people who will take a city. Causing change in a nation that will affect the world: through the preaching and teaching of the Word of God; wholesome fellowship; and Godly examples of integrity of righteousness and excellence. This will educate, inspire, and enlighten so that they can live in a close fellowship with God. This will also equip them to maximize their God-given potential in every area of their life. Most importantly, the families, the community, the city, the nation, and the world will be affected.  To God be the Glory.

God has called Pastor Earl Crump to preach the Gospel of Grace to enable people to come out of tradition (religion of men) into the Grace of God.
